Law of Averages

I heard on several news broadcasts that the average pedophile abuses 85 people before they are caught! If the system failed and there were no controls in place to make them fear being caught, one could just imagine how much higher that average number could jump. If anyone concerned could imagine that higher number-then multiply it by the staggeringly high number of predators that just happened to call Cornwall home, OK, I'll pause while you calculate it.....now imagine after all those years a very low estimate would be one of their parents living, they have married just once and have had only one child. So, being Conservative take your last number and multiply it by 3. That does not figure in siblings, grandparents, friends, or any other family or friends for that matter. I have kept all my estimates low. I took the 85 people times 100 pedophiles in Cornwall,( there were more than 100 charges laid in the Project Truth investigation alone )" times only 3 friends, family, or loved ones, the total estimate- 25,500 people, fully half the population of the town. Some of the officials of that town were partially responsible for imprisoning the only police officer that would come foreword for the safety of children. By the way, the rest of Canada believes he shouldn't have been charged, he was given a GOLDEN AWARD when he came out. I have been very conservative in my estimates. That means the town of Cornwall's Priest's, police and many other prominent people have torn apart the lives of at least 25,500 people! I want to emphasize that the victims are in no way responsible for the fall-out, for lack of a better word, from what these monsters have done to them. I mean for example, my wife Brigette is loved by both myself and our daughter and there is nothing that can change that, but because of what that town has put her through, it hurts both of us to see her pain. To know first hand that this kind of evil exists and to be supportive in all parts of her recovery, counseling, and dealing with her past. She has the physical scars and we all share the emotional scars dealt out by these cowards. At least we know with work and in time, we will all grow stronger and better but the predators will always live in fear that one of the numerous victims they have threatened and hurt- will grow strong enough to fight back. Every day every one of them could possibly hear that cell door slam behind them, and I don't have to tell anyone how much respect they will receive being locked up with several people whose lives went bad, usually because they themselves were abused when young by someone just like them. That is a perfect picture to end my thoughts with....
